Tonight’s weather forecast = MORE SNOW!
With approx. a foot of snow coming our way and with days of knowledge, hopefully the Dept. of Sanitation and our Mayor work TOGETHER (this time) to make sure our streets are cleared as best as possible.
But, I do have my fingers crossed for a snow day of no work!! ^__^

Ebonic terminology far beyond my brain capacity
So, there’s some new stuff out that I don’t get… I know the basic sayings and the old school terms that just came from my hood territory which rarely is processed through my brain to leave my mouth, in other words, I don’t speak it. But, damnit we have ebonic words named after rappers? It really is like a whole different language. A sentence can contain ebonic words minus “this, it, is, for, I and you” lol…here’s some that come up, I don’t quite understand.
Gucci: yes, I passed 3rd grade and learned to use my context clues, so I am pretty sure it means “Good”. “what’s gucci” “what’s good”. But, why!?
Slime: unsure..
Stop it Five: ummmm?
Swindle: convince? What?
Curve: ummm? Okay…? Cool?
Skeee: no?
Trap: maaaan it took me a year to comprehend fully..
I cannot think of anymore but I definitely find myself looking at people like they’re speaking German…can’t we all just speak proper English? =\

No one is where they want to be only where they need to be. The luxury of being where you want to be comes later…with wisdom and appreciation.
I want to be in Atlanta. When I went it was like home. But, hey…I can’t do it right now, I need to be here in NYC…school & work calls.
